Managing Manufacturing & Supply Chain Risk

How to keep your company and board on track

Whether it’s shortages of raw materials or natural resources, environmental pollution, labor disputes, or workforce health and safety, there are a myriad of potential risks a board needs to consider. Managing these environmental and social risks is critical to ensuring long-term value creation in your organization — and keeping your organization out of the newspapers. Athena member Karen Stash, board member/vice-chair and city commissioner, explains the basics of managing risk in your manufacturing and supply chain segments —and what steps you should take first to set your company or board on the right track.

Karen has 30 years of business growth and transformation experience across manufacturing, engineering, and technology companies. She is passionate about commercial excellence and risk reduction. She has been Chief Marketing Officer, VP of Market Development, VP of Applications Engineering, and Founder and President of the Board of an IoT corporation. She has increased revenue and brand presence by double digits in over 30 countries. Karen has been recognized as a Woman Worth Watching, was a Fellow at the World Affairs Council and is currently serving as Vice-Chair and Commissioner for the City of Bellevue, WA, and is serving on several advisory boards.
